Salmon is considered a highly nutritious food due to its rich content of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA. These fatty acids are essential for heart health, supporting cardiovascular function, reducing inflammation, and contributing to brain health. Additionally, salmon is a good source of high-quality protein, vitamins such as vitamin D and B12, and minerals like selenium, further enhancing its overall nutritional value.
Ingredients:
- Salmon fillets
- Olive oil
- Minced/crushed garlic
- Lemon
- Sea salt
- Preheat the oven or the air fryer to 400 degrees and place oil on a foil lined tray. Arrange the salmon fillets (skin down) on the baking sheet and season generously with salt.
- Rub the crushed garlic over the salmon filets (after rubbing the garlic on the fish I take the garlic pieces off of my kids salmon because they say it’s “spicy,” but I leave it on the rest of the fillets). If you are looking for a decent garlic press this is the one I use.
- Squeeze some of the lemon juice over the salmon. Then pour olive oil over the salmon. Sprinkle again with salt.
- Thinly slice the remaining of the lemon and top each piece of salmon with a slice of lemon (or lime as pictured below).
- Bake the salmon in the oven or air fryer to 400 degrees for 11-15 minutes or until the salmon is opaque/flaky and can be pulled apart with a fork.
This salmon recipe is easy and delicious. It is way better for you than frying your salmon and is the only way I eat salmon now!
