While there are many diets out there purported to be “the best” for metabolic health or weight loss know that the best diet is never a fad diet. The best way to eat is to prioritize fresh, minimally processed foods that come mostly from plants and do our best to eliminate or reduced ultra processed foods/snacks.

Whether you are vegetarian or not the key is to try to fill our plate mostly with nutrient-dense vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. For those who are not vegetarian it’s ok to incorporate moderate portions of dairy or meat. However, lean towards leaner meats such as fish and poultry.
